- Kim Mitchell Returns Home to Perform Solo Faves
and a Whole Mountain of Max - Toronto: The Phoenix Concert Theatre plays host to Kim Mitchell on Thursday, November 30th. The Canadian Icon will perform both his solo material, as well as songs from the expansive Max Webster catalogue.Mitchell is a uniquely gifted and peer respected guitar player, as well as an acclaimed song writer, penning numerous classic songs with his writing partner Pye Dubois. Those songs include the Kim Mitchell anthems “All We Are”, “Go For Soda”, “Patio Lanterns”, “Rock ‘n Roll Duty” and “ Easy to Tame”, as well as eclectic gems for Max Webster, including “Diamonds, Diamonds”, “High Class In Borrowed Shoes”, “Oh War” and “Battlescar” — all songs that have an important place in the Canadian musical genome. Kim, along with his band mates Peter Fredette, Sam Pomanti and Dave Langguth will be performing these, and other classic songs, for this one night only special event. This is Kim’s first Toronto performance since his 2016 sold out show at The Phoenix, commemorating the venue’s 25th anniversary.Today also marks the release of “The Party” a definitive 8 disc vinyl and CD box set ( ole Label Group/Anthem Legacy/Universal Music Canada), that includes the long out-of-print Kim Mitchell self titled EP.
Kim Mitchell is currently working on new material for release in 2018.
